In 2013 too, girls and women resident in Piedmont and suffering from alopecia due to chemotherapy or radiotherapy can avail of a public contribution of € 250.00 for the purchase of a wig occurred during the year 2013 (January – December 2013). The Regional Government decided to fund again this program initiated in 2010, allocating the sum of 517 thousand euro.

The contribution will be paid by health care providers and may be granted only to patients who haven’t already received this sum in previous years. We would like to remind all women that the documentation to be submitted to the Local Health of residence is the following:

- Certificate from the specialist (NOT the family doctor), attesting the current treatment regimen

- Proof of the wig purchase (receipt or invoice)

- Filling a form provided from the Local Health of residence
